2011 Spells Trouble for Medicare and Social Security

As our legislators in Washington D.C. tackle the task of reducing our country's massive national debt, Medicare "Health Insurance Coverage" and "Social Security" seem to draw a lot of attention as two of the programs that could be in for budget cuts.

Rightfully so, since it is projected that the baby boomers beginniing in 2011 will add some 10,000 new members per year to the "Medicare" and "Social Security" rolls.

Cuts in benefits of either "Medicare" or "Social Security" will cause a hardship to all those whose only source of income is "Social Security" and "Medicare" being their only and primary medical insurance.

It is my sincere hope, since my wife and I are both recipients of both these programs, that a solution to the funding of these two programs can be found without making any cuts in benefits at all.

I would like to bring your attention to the very valuable information that Google has added to the right side of this article and urge you to read every word and be well informed regarding this very important issue and how it'll effect you personally.

Medicare and Social Socurity headed for the Chopping Block

As we look at the chart below, provided by the GAO, we can clearly see that something must be done in order to save Medicare "Health Insurance Coverage" and Social Security from the chopping block.

Sources for the chart below as provided by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) comes from analyzing the data from the Office of the Chief Actuary Social Security Administration and the Office of the Actuary Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Your attention to the chart below will show you where we are headed and by 2017 just six (6) years from now Social Security will join Medicare in a cash deficit situation.

Hardships Ahead For All Of Us On Social Security and Medicare

As our legislators discuss how to cut our governments deficit, Social Security seems to be an area that gets a lot of attention. Talk today among our legislators centers around cutting our Social Security benefits by as much as 25 %.

What a devastating blow that will be for all of us living solely on our Social Security !

Also being discussed is cutting our Medicare "Health Insurance Coverage" and Medicaid benefits. With the skyrocketing cost of medical care and prescription drugs today that will be a complete disaster to all of us who depend on Medicare. It would also put the personal health of all of us at a greater risk.

YOU MUST Watch This VERY Short Video and then ACT !

Medicare Members will be Asked to Share the Cost

It seems that our legislators in Washington are debating weather to cut Medicare benefits or raise taxes in an effort to save Medicare and to reduce our National Debt at the same time.

I have entered a poll below and urge you to vote on how you feel about this ongoing Medicare debate in Washington.

The results of this poll will be sent to my legislators in Washington, D.C..
